Camdenist partners with Go Jauntly with three curated walks in Camden

Three walks through Camden we recommend

Discover loads of the boroughs hidden secrets with us via Go Jauntly

Camdenist has teamed up with the free walking app, Go Jauntly, to bring you a series of fantastic walking routes around Camden.  We’ve hit the streets and put together a selection of local jaunts that reveal loads of the area’s curious surprises, (yes, even for long-term locals) while promoting walking, mobility and outdoor urban adventures as part of our new Journeys series.

In the app, Camdenist has shared three walks through the borough that you don’t want to miss (links to each are below). They reveal historic points of interest, good places for a refreshment pit-stop and unusual routes that beat using a car, bus and even bike.

Walking Camden Highline with the Go Jauntly app
Walk 1: Loop below Camden's future Highline

The first walk takes you beneath the railway bridges that will one day host the proposed aerial park Camden Highline.

We then uncover loads more secret green spaces through Euston and beyond, eventually returning to where you started via Camden Market’s new Hawley Wharf.

It’s a walk that highlights some of the discoveries within the newly identified Camden Green Loop, an initiative that you’ll be hearing a lot more about soon.

Walking Primrose Hill to Kingly Court using the Go Jauntly walking app
Walk 2: Chalk Farm to Kingly Court

Our second walk in the series leads you through the borough’s Royal parks, for an unexpectedly green and leafy route direct from Camden Town into the heart of the West End – with hardly a car in sight.

We stroll through picturesque Primrose Hill, down through the majestic Broadwalk, then past the BBC and on to the courtyard oasis of global food hidden amongst the tempting boutiques just off Carnaby Street.

Walk 3: Explore Camden's hidden countryside

Our third walk heads deep into the wilds of Hampstead Heath, where you will encounter some truly unexpected architecture along the way, as well as the most strikingly bucolic scenes for the centre of any capital city.

Our route guides you past picturesque thatched cottages, imposing Art Deco villas and secretive piles used by the RAF as hospitals/training facilities during both World Wars. It’s a fascinating trip into some of London’s most leafy areas, and what can be seen there.
