Brick Sixty

Brick Sixty host their first ever pop-up sale

Browse the St Pancras-based studio’s full London brick-themed range in one place

We’re big fans of locally-based product designers Brick Sixty and their iconic, hand cast range of London brick-shaped soaps, candle holders (main photo), chocolate bars and more.

And this Saturday (11th Nov) we finally get the chance to peek inside their studio, where they will all be on sale, alongside a selection of brilliant books about our city’s historic built environment, and the debut of their range of limited edition Giclée prints, which will be available exclusively for the first time at the event, too.

The studio was established in 2018 by Billy Field, an engineer working in London, who discovered his passion for the character and materiality of the humble London brick.

His products have since been a hit at selected independent shops across town, but the full range has never been available in one location before.

“We set out to uncover and tell the stories behind the bricks, the buildings and the streets of London,” he says of his brand. “We now also collaborate with fellow London-makers to celebrate more of the high-quality design and thoughtful manufacturing that takes place in the capital.”

Staying true to that ethos, Brick Sixty is based inside those lovely red brick arches on Pancras Rd that were once part of the huge Victorian railway goods yards. The few parts that remain have been filled with creative businesses since the yards were decommissioned and demolished following heavy WWII bombing and the move away from horse-born transport in the capital.

The studio would have once a coal trading store, but this weekend it’s the place to grab an Xmas gift or two, and celebrate the rich history of London’s built environment while you’re at it.

Update: Our friends at gift designers Brick Sixty had so much fun opening up their studio last month that they’re doing it again this Saturday (10th Dec), and like before, Camdenist readers get 10% off just by flashing this email when at the till. 🧱
