It’s been a long wait – over a year later than originally planned before the arrival of Covid – but Camden Town Brewery’s totally reimagined Wilkin Street Mews bar is finally about to reopen.
Booking is already underway for dates after June 7th, including special screenings of the Euro championships, and tables are likely to be at a premium all summer long, so we advise you get moving.
What lies in wait is a Bavarian-style beer hall, complete with 24 different taps behind the bar, serving all the Camden classics alongside the delicious Off Menu and Arch 55 series, which are all brewed on site.
Look out for regular exclusive small batch beers too, that won’t be found anywhere else in London.
The other big news is that local resident and TV chef Theo Randall is taking care of the kitchen. Theo gained a Michelin star during his 15-year sting at The River Cafe, and has been working on a menu of dishes that will perfectly complement beer drinking. We’re told to expect seasonal Italian ingredients and cooking with dishes you’d find in a traditional Bavarian beer hall.
They will be going even bigger than before on their Brewery tours, where you get to see – and taste – the good stuff in production. And you’ll find a new shop selling Camden’s latest range of branded swag and merch, so you can wear your love of Hells Larger emblazoned upon your chest/bag/hat etc.
